    Where better to enjoy a walk, hike or trek amidst beautiful and unspoilt countryside than the Forest of Dean? There are numerous long distance paths, circular routes and waymarked trails throughout the district. There are plenty of options to choose from.

  • Canoeing

    Canoeing the River Wye is one outdoor experience not to be missed! Whether it's running the rapids at Symonds Yat or just taking a lazy cruise through stunning scenery of the Wye Valley. Half, full or multi day trips which are perfect for small or large groups.

  • National Diving Centre

    The National Diving & Activity Centre is ideally situated on the main A48 road leading from Chesptow to Lydney and offers some breathtaking views. They're not just a diving centre as they have some very impressive walks from the site that link into the Forest.

  • Horse Riding

    The Forest of Dean is ideal for horse riding on it's bridle-ways and has lots of reputable stables throughout the district. Choose from one hour rides, to full day rides. Enjoy a leisurely ride through the Forest at a more relaxed pace.
